Home & Contents Insurance

Since we arranged the mortgage we've had our Buildings & Contents insurance with the mortgage company.

Can we change from them? Can we get cheaper insurance elsewhere?

Buildings Insurance – Property damage insurance cover for the actual structure of your home. If you have a mortgage, building cover insurance will be compulsory and will cover against flooding, fire, subsidence and more.

Contents Insurance – Insurance cover for your personal possessions and the fixtures and fittings of your home. Perhaps for a rented house, student accommodation or rented flat. Can include accidental damage cover.

Buildings & Contents Insurance – Combining the two types of insurance cover on one policy will give you cheaper premiums.
